About the VMHS Choir Program

The Vista Murrieta High School Choir Program is one of the premier music organizations in Southern California. VMHS hosts five choral ensembles ranging from novice to advanced levels that each perform a variety of musical genres including classical, contemporary, pop, and jazz. The choral ensembles at Vista Murrieta participate regularly in invitation festivals throughout Southern California including the University of Redlands Chamber Choir Festival, Upland High School Jazz Choir Festival, Mira Costa College Jazz Choir Festival, Cuesta College Jazz Festival, and they have participated regularly in Choirs of America events throughout the country; most recently in Banff, Canada.

The Choirs of VMHS perform throughout the year in various concerts on campus and in the community including a school district showcase. They also perform within the community in various holiday caroling events as well as private events. Furthermore, the VMHS Choir Program strives to have a strong presence on campus by performing in pep rallies, special school events, collaborating with the instrumental and drama departments, as well as coordinating surprise performances for school spirit and involvement.
